This Thursday is Hinamatsuri (雛祭り), a religious festival dating back to the Heian period. The main reason behind the festival was to celebrate girls on an auspicious day, 3 March. (Boys were celebrated on 5 May, so as not to feel left out.) Now the Heian period had some pretty neat wagashi and we’ve put together a box this week that includes some of them.
NOTE: This is also the box for our Cambridge soft launch which will be next week!!
