Choosing natural ingredients

We always choose natural ingredients over convenient chemicals.

What is ‘Wagashi’?

Wagashi is the traditional art of Japanese confectionery.
Made with simple ingredients such as rice, azuki bean, and agar, wagashi take inspiration from natural themes and the seasons.
Here at Matcha Sundays, we not only make many kinds of wagashi but also fusion snacks that combine Japanese flavours with Western concepts.
It’s easier to show you with images, so have a look below!

What we proudly do

Matcha Sundays is all about making tasty Japanese wagashi snacks for you to enjoy. Along the way, we mix Japanese and Western concepts together to create inspired snacks.

Traditional Wagashi

Traditional Japanese wagashi is at the heart of what we do. Just like you’d enjoy while traveling through Japan.

Inspired Snacks

Western flavours combined with Japanese wagashi. Or, Japanese flavours combined with Western snacks!

Food Art

Making wagashi isn’t just about taste. Appearance is also key.

Weekly Wagashi Snack Boxes

Looking for a new foodie obsession to chat about with friends and family?

Matcha Sundays started as a weekly delivery box of Japanese wagashi snacks to doorsteps across London. We’re still running them every (well, almost every) Sunday but we’ve expanded to other cities as well!. Check out our Stories on Instagram and Facebook for the latest menu!

Nationwide Postal Delivery

We deliver our wagashi across the UK via post!

We know getting Japanese wagashi can be difficult outside the big cities. That’s why we post out most of our snacks to postcodes all over the country. Using the Tracked 24 service means it arrives straight to you, usually the next day and tracked all the way!

Let’s talk wagashi
