  • Our Matcha & Dark Chocolate brownie is a careful balance of two separate brownie mixes. Matcha blondies are often too sweet, overpowering the matcha flavour. Chocolate brownies are tasty but also a bit boring. The magic happens when you combine the two together. Suddenly the dark chocolate balances the sweetness of the blondie, and you get to enjoy the matcha flavour so much more.   • Yatsuhashi Flowers "Hydrangea" (あじさい風八ツ橋) The incredible hues of the hydrangea are truly beautiful and we wanted to bring some of that beauty to you with our yatsuhashi. Each yatsuhashi is crafted with either blue, purple, or green sheets, then combined to recreate the colours of the flowers and the green leaves. We use butterfly pea flower (img. 4) to get the blue, then add lemon to change the blue to purple.   • Is it okay if we show off just a bit? We'd like to introduce you to our "Beach ball" mochi balls. Made to look like the beach balls you played with as a child, they're whimsically cute and playful. We included them in our recent beach-themed snack box, but deliberately hid them behind a plain brown wrapper so it'd be a surprise. Hope everybody enjoyed them! How they're made: ================ We had to make four mochi balls of different colours, then cut each one into four quarters. Put one of each colour together into a ball and (very carefully) roll them until the mochi ball is nice and round again. #mochi #wagashi #londonfood #団子 #和菓子
  • "Imagawa-yaki" style mochi doughnut (今川焼風餅ドーナツ) Soft and chewy because they're doughnuts, sweet bean paste filling to make you smile! Mango Daifuku (マンゴー大福) Soft mochi you bite into to get to the Azuki bean filling which you bite into to get to the mango fruit which you bite into to get to a soft sigh of pure happiness. Mango & pineapple mochi balls (マンゴーとパイン団子) You don't want a super sweet pineapple for this mochi ball, because the mango is already sweet. You want a slightly less sweet pineapple so you can enjoy the different flavours! "Ocean Blue" warabi mochi (青海わらび餅) We found out to our surprise that if you sprinkle kinako soy powder on the warabi mochi, it looks like the waters of the ocean meeting the brown sands of the beach!

Our Matcha & Dark Chocolate brownie is a careful balance of two separate brownie mixes. Matcha blondies are often too sweet, overpowering the matcha flavour. Chocolate brownies are tasty but also a bit boring. The magic happens when you combine the two together. Suddenly the dark chocolate balances the sweetness of the blondie, and you get to enjoy the matcha flavour so much more. Yatsuhashi Flowers "Hydrangea" (あじさい風八ツ橋) The incredible hues of the hydrangea are truly beautiful and we wanted to bring some of that beauty to you with our yatsuhashi. Ken and the Matcha Sundays team are the single best example of a small business worth your time and custom I have ever seen. Delicious, authentic snacks, hand made with care and attention. Absolutely delicious! I ordered mochi, dango, mochi doughnuts and yatsuhashi, and most of it was gone on the first day! Obviously made with great care and love, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the treats. Excellent customer service as well, with Ken checking in that I’d received the parcel. Absolutely amazing, 1000/10! Not only were the treats DELICIOUS but the customer service was impeccable and incredibly accommodating. Website entered wrong shipping address (my fault) and I was able to contact them easily and quickly on Instagram to get that updated. Delivery was 24 hours so they came the day after they were shipped and were very well packaged so everything was kept safe. Will definitely be buying from here again! Also, I highly recommend the Mitarashi Dango and Hojicha Butter Cookies!

Matcha Sundays delivered such thoughtful and exceptional service I was bowled over! I bought 3 sets of different mochi including the adzuki box to celebrate an anniversary and my partner being an incredible first- time dad with our newborn! Ken coordinated a suprise, waited outside for my partner to come and gave a bespoke message to let my partner know he was doing a great job as a dad. It was so sweet AND the mochi was absolutely delicious! My partner is also Japanese and we’ve spent time all over Japan trying sweets - these were as authentic, and delicious!
