Weekly Wagashi: The “Uzuki” Box

With April and spring both in the air, we’ve put together a box of wagashi that will be perfect for the warm weather and a gentle cup of tea. We’re calling it the “Uzuki” box after the old Japanese name for the month of April!

We’re introducing two new wagashi this week: the cinnamon daifuku and the imagawa-yaki style mochi doughnut!

The cinnamon daifuku is the first of our flavoured mochi daifuku, as we’ve mainly focused on the fruit daifuku which have plain mochi wrappings. The cinnamon flavour of the mochi goes incredibly well with the azuki bean.
We’re also introducing the imagawa-yaki style doughnut. Imagawa-yaki is all about the azuki bean filling so we’ve actually removed the standard chocolate flavour of our mochi doughnuts so you can enjoy the azuki bean flavour.
