Bean paste is an unsung hero of the wagashi industry! Known as “Anko (餡子)” or just “An (餡)”, it forms the base of many traditional snacks. Our bean paste come in 4oz pots and each portion is approximately 40g!
Confused about how to use this? It’s easy: just add as a topping to our mochi balls, or as an extra indulgence on our doughnuts. Have some bread at home? Spread on toast for a very Japanese breakfast! If you’re feeling particularly creative, why not make a zenzai? To make a zenzai, add hot water to a scoop of azuki bean paste. (Pro tip: Add a mochi ball or two to make your zenzai ?!)
